We Just Stopped To Say Hello

In early May we planned a trip to Denver for Jack's 3rd birthday.  Since the trip makes for a long day, we usually leave a day early and spend the night in Abilene which effectively shortens our next day's drive by a couple of hours. Plus, it gives us a chance to see Jordan's family and play with Leighton and Remington.

They are changing so quickly and you can really see it between visits.  But, that's true with all of us as well. Time slips by and before you know it, grand kids are grown, your own kids are where you were a few short years ago and you take a look at yourself and realize you better make the most of the time you have left.  It reminds me of a saying we had in the house long ago that goes like this:

Cleaning and scrubbing can wait 'til tomorrow,
For babies grow up we've learned to our sorrow.
So quiet down cobwebs.
Dust go to sleep.
I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep!

It is so true, thus we are going to try and spend more time with family yet take time for us to do some bucket list things as well.  Like a friend said, "As long as you can pick up your suitcase, you better take the opportunities and go".  That's easier said than done sometimes!

Bootsy, Leighton's cat, reigning over the playground.

Time for a little Leighton entertainment and air guitar!

Remington is a happy guy as long as he can chew on those fingers!

The big kahunas enjoying a little down time.

Playground Central.  This is where it all takes place!
