Spring Things, Presley's Birthday and A Dog Named Nash

Spring means not only spring cleaning, but also the tasks of getting plants out from under the house, planting new ones, celebrating Presley's birthday and the arrival of a new dog.

The bougainvillea that was so beautiful last year came out of the winter in pretty
rough shape.  But, it's alive and that's what counts.

This is an old sketch that Joan Crumrine did of our house at Christmas back a
long time ago.  We get it out at Christmas, but this year we framed it and left it out so
we can enjoy it year around.

I think this was during one of the stock show times when we were taking care
of Jennifer's animals.  This was the sum of the snowfall for the winter.  Big deal!

Sister got a little dirty running through the wet grass, and then wanted to go inside!
Didn't happen!

Presley turned double digits this year, 10 years going on 16.

What a big cake for a little girl.  By the time we added Blue Bell,
in various flavors, the caloric consumption went up considerably!

New shoes for the birthday girl.

A visit to Jeanne Wright's farm with Mario to see the new goats!

I think I'll get Mom a goat for Christmas!

This is Nash, Presley's new dog.  He's as big as a pony!

He loved Presley and she him, but in the end, he wouldn't stay at home
and he didn't need to be on a chain, so eventually he went back to the country.
