Dale Phillips Reunion

Mom and Dad would have been proud of their kids!  The Dale and Jeannette Phillips descendants and their families were finally able to get together for what we hope will become an annual affair.  All of their children with the exception of Lester Lee were able to make it to Wichita Falls for the big gathering.  We were able to visit, look at lots of old pictures, meet new family members, as well as soon to be members, eat lots of good food and generally catch up on each other's lives.

Our Mom especially enjoyed a good reunion, having been involved in the Papa Jim and Mama Jude Phillips reunion for many years.  Like so many people, we have all gotten involved with our own children and grand children over time and we just don't see each other much any more.  We were tired of getting together just for funerals, so we are hoping this will become a new tradition to look forward to every year.

Fun times looking back at old photos.  We were
all so good looking back in the day!  Kerry and his daughter Ashley looking on.

Good cooks getting the food ready.  Dayle, Sherri, Brenda and Jerry
did a great job preparing the meal.  We Phillips' are all pretty good eaters!

It's my sister Dayle, looking at old photos.

Beverly and Kevin got to spend some time together going over the state of the world!

Presley, however, decided that the pool was a better choice, especially in the heat.
Have you ever been to Wichita Falls in the summer!

These were our lifeguards at the pool.  Taylor must have had eyes in the back of his head
since he has his back to the pool!

Brother Kerry and the latest and smallest member of his family.

Well, this is the crew minus one.  Brenda Arlene, Kerry Michael, Jan Denise,
Dayle Anita and Danny Fred.  Lester Lee couldn't be there that day.

Our oldest child Jennifer and her crew, Presley and Taylor.

Kerry and I discussing farming, guitars and golf!

Kerry and Joanna and..... I forgot the dog's name.

It's not just the reunion, it's the Sonic coke afterwards!

On our way home, we stopped for a little visit at the supposedly ghost infested Baker Hotel
in Mineral Wells, Texas.

Presley has this fascination with the spiritual (ghost) world and we told her that
here's your chance to find one.  We didn't actually one, but I could feel their presence.

Go on up the stairs.  Really, there's nothing to be afraid of Presley.

Ok, you can take Bebe with you.

I think this is an old sign but now they are renovating the famous building to
it's former glory.  It will be a huge undertaking, but it will be exciting to get
to see it as it was years ago!

The three stooges with the Baker in the background.  When did Taylor get so tall??

Papaw said he'd take her up to the steps but after that she was on her on!

Presley checking in with her "Ghost Detection" app.

The Grand entrance!
